THE ACTIVE MIND
The paranoia of the active mind
Fertilized by disease of surrounding impending menace
Persona moulded by the pressures of existence
Acceptance, appearance and social standings.
The yearning for the unknown and striving for more
Using the past as an excuse for the cravings that are not real
Stifling feeling that should be so pure
Succumbing to the falsified society that wants us to be.
Not seeing the true resolutions to our fears
False icons and idols we hold in our midst
Lurching from one disaster to the next
Getting lost in the abyss of interconnecting fate.
Constantly searching out the epicentre of peace
To free up the senses and allay our fears
Timely battles with devils that dance within our being
Convincing ourselves that we are truly and wholly good.
Visiting representatives of god in the suffocation of said faith
Looking for divine forgiveness and lessons alike
Confessing to ease our guilt and then returning to this life
This inane world keeps on turning lessons given but seldom learned.
